Engineered wood flooring is composed of two or more layers of wood in the form of a plank. The top layer is the wood that is visible when the flooring is installed, and is adhered to the core which provides the stability.

Kährs are available in:

1-Strip: The surface of the board is sawn in one piece, this emphasises the feeling of nature and will show the full character of the species chosen. Knots and variations in clour clearly demonstrate that this is a unique flooring, complete with all the variety in the grain that only 1-strip can provide.

2-Strip: The wear layer is 2-strips wide. The strips are arranged to give different floors individual character. Kährs 2-strip floors are available in two varieties - one with longer and one with shorter strips.

3-Strip: With 3-strip floors the wear layer is three strips wide. The strips ahve different lengths and are positioned randonly; this creates a floor with an individual character.

Kährs species:
Tropical species come from countries who are members of the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO). All members work towards ecological forestry. Suppliers are chosed from those who hold a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certificate.
